About Chad Helder

Chad Helder is the Stoker Award-winning editor of Unspeakable Horror: From the Shadows of the Closet (Dark Scribe Press 2008), an anthology of queer horror fiction, which he co-edited with Vince Liaguno.
Helder is the creator and writer of Bartholomew of the Scissors (Bluewater 2008), the innovative horror comic book that features the creepy "comic-books-in-wood" illustrations of artist Daniel Crosier. Helder wrote a series of horror comic book one-shots for Vincent Price Presents (Bluewater), including Welcome to the Family of the Night (Sept. 2008), Whistle to Open Worlds (Nov. 2008), Canus (Dec. 2008), and Rue Morgue High (June 2009).
Helder's first book of poetry, Pop-Up Book of Death, will be published by Queer Mojo Press, an imprint of Rebel Satori.
Helders is currently working on a collection of queer horror poetry for Dark Scribe Press.
Helder's set of horror flash-fiction, Five Flash Frights (2007), appeared in The Harrow: Original Works of Fantasy and Horror.
Helder is a college English Instructor who has taught courses in Gothic Literature, Fairy Tales, and Creative Writing.
Helder has two literary degrees: a BA in English from the University of Northern Colorado and a MA in English from Western Washington University.
