Congratulations to Lee Thomas
Sunday, March 16, 2008 at 06:27PM Congratulations to Lee Thomas! His excellent novel, The Dust of Wonderland, is a finalist for the 20th Annual Lambda Literary Awards.
The Dust of Wonderland is the current reigning masterpiece of Queer Horror, according to Chad, and I am very excited to see the novel recognized in this way. Lee Thomas' book contains all the threads that define Queer Horror as a significant literary genre, and these threads are brilliantly woven together in The Dust of Wonderland.
To celebrate Lee Thomas and his acclaimed masterpiece, I am launching a new Featured Authors section on Unspeakable Horror, and Lee Thomas is fittingly the first featured author. Here is the write-up on the new Featured Author page:
Lee Thomas is a rising star in the Queer Horror genre and the Young Adult Horror genre. He won the Bram Stoker Award for Stained, which is currently only available as a rare, out-of-print title.
He is also the author of The Dust of Wonderland, a masterpiece of Queer Horror that is currently a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award.
The queer-themed short story "An Apiary of White Bees," which appears in the collection entitled Inferno, is currently nominated for a Stoker Award in the category of "Superior Achievement in Long Fiction."
His Young Adult Horror series Wicked Dead, written under the name Thomas Pendleton and co-authored with Stefan Petrucha, is currently in its third installment. Thomas Pendleton's YA novel, Mason, is forthcoming this summer.
In addition to Stained, Lee Thomas has a couple more rare titles: Parish Damned and Damage, and he has a whole bunch of books on the way, including an urban fantasy series from Harpercollins called Exiled!
